Picture this… a 3600 SQ ft, 5 bedroom, 4 bath retreat, with beautifully appointed kitchen and game room. You’ll wake up each morning to fresh air and luscious forest surrounding. After enjoying a cup of coffee on the wrap around porch with views of Lake Michigan, head down to the Pristine Private Sand Beach for a day of fun!
Built in July 2004, this gorgeous home is located in an exclusive, secluded area, bordering the famous Whitefish Dunes State Park. There is a path to enter the state park right out our front door! The public entrance to the park is about 2 miles to the north. Hike, bike or cross country ski right out your front door! You are only 15 min. from the quaint village shops. Enjoy our Pristine, Private Sand Beach on Whitefish Bay or enjoy miles of public beaches.
What will today’s memories be made of? ...a romantic stroll down miles of secluded, pristine beach; ....building sand castles with the kids;....hiking through miles of the Whitefish Dunes State Park Wilderness; ....browsing the many quaint Door County Shops ... or roasting marshmallows over a campfire?
Bring your boat (or you can rent a boat) to the boat launch just ½ mile away for a day of skiing, fishing or cruising!
The Beach Retreat Amenities include:
· Oversized Master Bedroom (2nd floor) has 1 King Bed. This bedroom offers 32” TV, DVD, extra large Balcony with Lake View (6’ x 17’), Huge Master Bathroom with 2 person whirlpool (size is: 6’ x 5’) and Gigantic Shower (size is: 8’ x 5’) – includes overhead rain shower, plus a shower head on each end with a total of 4 massaging jets.
· Bedroom #2 (2nd floor) has 1 Queen Bed
· Bedroom #3 (2nd floor) has 3 Twin Beds and 1 Queen Bed
· Bedroom #4 (main floor) has 1 Queen Bed
· Bedroom #5 (lower floor) has 4 Twin Beds
· 2 Portable Cribs on site
· Huge Game room featuring…7’ Pool Table, full size Ping Pong Table, Air Hockey, Electronic Darts, Foosball table, electronic two person arcade style basketball game, Card Table and Chairs, 32” TV, Playstation, Toys for Kids, Sofa and Chair (this gameroom will blow you away!!!!).
· Large Great Room with Cozy Fireplace, Plenty of comfortable Seating, 36” TV w/Cable and DVD Player and a Stereo
· Huge Gourmet Kitchen offers: Microwave, Glass Cooktop, Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Tons of Cabinet and Counter Space, Snack Bar that seats 4, Dining Table for 10 plus high chairs.
· Laundry Room w/Washer and Dryer
· Back Deck on main floor with a Gas BBQ grill and Patio Table and Chairs
· Lower Floor Deck spans the length of the cottage with a spray faucet outside to wash off sand from the beach. Patio Chairs on lower deck.
· Main floor Deck is a wrap around with views of Lake Michigan and has a Patio table and chairs.
· Fire pit to roast marshmallows
· Hiking Paths right outside your front door
· Borders Whitefish Dunes State Park! (Our neighbor is the state park!)
DETAILS
Check-in time for incoming tenants is 4:00 PM on the first day of tenancy. Checkout time is 10:00 a.m. on the last day of tenancy. We are sometimes flexible on check in and check out times on the off season rentals, check with owner to discuss.
I will send out a rental agreement to be signed and must be sent back with the security deposit to hold a reservation – Check or money order is fine. The reason for the security deposit is that this is a $750,000 home and we have to protect our investment against damage. Security Deposit will be refunded following the Caretaker’s inspection of the house and after I receive the phone bill corresponding with the dates of your rental. The rent is due 30 days prior to the rental date.
The house is rented on a “house keeping” basis meaning…leave the house the way you found it. You can use our cleaning service ($25.00 / hour) or you can clean it yourself. If you use the cleaning service, you can request the whole house or just specific areas like the floors and baths. The charges for the cleaning service will be deducted from the security deposit. Typical charges to clean bathrooms and floors range from $75 to $125. Typical charges to clean the entire home range from $125 to $175. We supply all the cleaning supplies. We supply pillows, blankets and comforters. You can bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels…or…We offer a “Linen Service, which is $225.00. The linen service includes sheets, pillow cases, and bath towels for all guests and dish towels.
We furnish the following supplies: Tissues, White Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Laundry Detergent, Dishwashing Liquid, Dishwasher Detergent, Hand Soap and Garbage Bags. We will furnish all the cleaning supplies needed to clean the cottage.
Bed Sizes: 1 King, 3 Queen and 7 Twins
We can not accommodate pets of any kind. This is a non-smoking establishment
Our home has a complete range of basic housekeeping equipment: dishes, glasses, tableware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, cleaning equipment and supplies, blankets, spreads and pillows. There is also a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. A telephone is available on the premises for credit card calls and collect calls only.
